There was a time when our elected officials had at least an iota of integrity and a strong moral compass. Unfortunately for the residents of Harlow this is not the case for our elected MP, Chris Vince. At the beginning of this year we posted an article regarding the national grooming scandal.
We were rather hoping our local MP would vote in favour of a national inquiry, but unfortunately for the Harlow taxpayer it seems our newly elected official has no backbone. A slave to his party rather than a servant to his constituents, he voted against said inquiry. This is no surprise to us here at The Sentinel, MPs would rather their political careers took precedence over their duty to their constituents.
If Mr Vince had shown any sort of integrity and backbone, he will have lost the Labour whip, which in essence would have made him an independent MP. That of course would then deprive him of all the juicy donations he currently has access to as a Labour MP. £29000 and counting.
We can also add hypocrite to Mr Vince’s character, as just recently he actually wrote to the Secretary of State asking about gender based violence, before the scandal broke in the mainstream media.
Mr Vince, you would have received a lot more support from Harlow residents had you shown a backbone. Your very slim majority may even have been bolstered at the next election.
We have some questions for Mr Vince:
- Can you please explain whether you voted with the whip based on comments/lobbying from Harlow residents? Or was it because you may lose the whip?
- If you had had any correspondence from residents* raising concerns for and against the national inquiry? If so could you please make those public? *Non-political activists/plants from this constituency.
- Who do you rent your constituency office from, and what is the address so we can check the integrity of the payments made via IPSA?
Update: We have contacted Chris Vince Via X regarding the inconsistencies in his integrity. You can find the thread here.
The Grok analysis is very telling.
